Gear Review: Cortech Water Resistant Cargo Textile Pants

Part 1 - Commuting

I purchased the Cortech cargo pants to replace my Moose expedition pants. The Moose pants did not breathe well enough for my liking and were starting to come apart at the seems. Motorcyclegear.com had the Cortechs on sale so I thought I'd give them a try. The fit was really good. They are a good bit heavier than normal pants and are Kevlar reinforced in key ares so they should offer better protection in a get-off. I should be able to wear my knee and shin guards under them. They look more like cargo pants than riding pants, enough that I wore them to work and nobody made any comments. They are also more comfortable than what I was expecting. The Cortech cargo pants do seem to breathe better than the Moose pants. I can't comment on their water resistance yet, but I plan to do a follow-up after I get some off-road time with them. I've read other reviews where people commented that they got pretty warm, but they can't be worse than the Moose pants. Having real pockets will probably make me choose the Corech cargo pants over my MX pants when I hit the trails.

GoPro Battery BacPac

The GoPro Battery BacPac is now available for $49.99. I really wish it had been available for my TAT ride. I always ran out of battery before memory, and this resulted in a lot of potentially good footage not being shot. I think this is going to be a must-purchase item for me.
