He had a little trouble keeping up with the bigger bikes on the easy stuff in Tn, but I still think it would be an excellent bike for this ride. I like and seek out the tougher sections on rides like this and a smaller bike is the way to go in the fun stuff. We all had bigger tanks on our bikes (200+ mile range) but we gassed up about every 100 just to be safe. 200-250 miles is about my limit for this type of traveling. Longer than that really wears me down. You also run the risk of running out of daylight. We consistently averaged about 30 mph (my fault, I'm sure Russ and Norm could have done it faster!) so 200 miles can still make for a pretty long day in the saddle.Tavis Boguehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04766434221619794456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244236492190063326.post-65200388747469919592011-07-02T09:38:26.768-04:002011-07-02T09:38:26.768-04:00208 miles , I'm impressed. looks like it was a...208 miles , I'm impressed. looks like it was a great day for riding .
